Warranty Terms
WARRANTY TERMS
- AYALA S.A. grants a warranty on its products as follows:
- 12 months – on hairdressing furniture for professional use and its components: fittings, footrests, bases, drawer systems, lighting systems (excluding light sources), massage systems, etc.;
- 12 months – on accessories from the 48H range;
- 1 month – on products sold through the outlet.
- AYALA S.A. does not grant a warranty on goods from ex-display clearance sales.
- The granting of this warranty does not exclude, limit or suspend the Buyer's rights under the law, in particular under the provisions on the seller's liability for lack of conformity of the goods with the contract.
- The Buyer may exercise rights under the warranty independently of the rights arising from applicable law.
- The warranty referred to in point 1(a) and (b) covers manufacturing defects that become apparent during use, in particular:
- Peeling of chrome-plated surfaces and cracking of metal parts not caused by the user;
- Delamination and deformation of furniture boards not caused by liquid spillage or excessive moisture;
- Faulty operation of hinges, runners, etc. not caused by the use of excessive force or overloading;
- Faulty operation of the movable legrest and massage systems not caused by liquid getting into system components or by mechanical damage;
- Split seams or tears in upholstery materials resulting from tension or other material defects, not caused by mechanical damage.
- The warranty does not cover defects resulting from improper use of the furniture or caused by adverse external factors, including:
- Failure to lock the hydraulic pump during use – the lock/brake is engaged by lifting the pump lever upwards after setting the appropriate height and position of the styling or barber chair; failure to use the brake leads to faster wear, often to mechanical damage to the pump, and constitutes grounds for loss of the warranty/rejection of a complaint concerning damaged components;
- Mechanical damage (impacts, abrasions, cuts, etc.);
- Prolonged contact with water, liquid spillage;
- Improper maintenance (e.g. use of strong chemicals or cleaning agents contrary to their intended purpose);
- Lack of maintenance (permanent soiling);
- Prolonged contact with aggressive hairdressing chemicals (permanent soiling);
- Discolouration of upholstery, furniture boards or lacquered surfaces caused by hairdressing chemicals, dye transfer from jeans, etc.;
- Discolouration caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight, cigarette smoke, etc.;
- Direct contact with fire or contact with a very hot object;
- Excessive loading (standing/sitting on shelves, worktops, armrests, footrests, etc.);
- Unsuitable room temperature (below +15°C, above +30°C);
- Any other use of the furniture contrary to its intended purpose;
- Damage and defects resulting from improper storage of the furniture;
- Damage resulting from improper transport or carrying of the furniture by the Buyer;
- Damage resulting from random events and circumstances beyond the manufacturer's control;
- Damage caused during installation/assembly of the furniture by the Buyer not in accordance with the instructions supplied with the purchased furniture;
- Damage resulting from the Buyer's own improper connection of the water supply and drain of a backwash or modular lab cabinet – the connections should be made by a plumber;
- Damage resulting from modifications carried out by the Buyer;
- Damage resulting from natural wear and tear.
Complaints concerning the natural characteristics of wood will not be accepted.
- Service does not cover simple tasks that the user can carry out themselves, e.g. replacing a light bulb, adjusting hinges, tightening a loose screw, removing dirt, etc.
- No claims may be made in respect of properties characteristic of the materials used, e.g. in the case of wood or veneer, their grain, varied structure or discolouration; in the case of aluminium parts, dulling of the surface due to lack of polishing; or minor colour differences compared with the samples presented of lacquers, stains, faux leather and furniture boards.
- Defects that are immaterial to the use of the furniture and completely invisible after assembly cannot form the basis of warranty claims.
- If only part of the furniture purchased by the Buyer is defective and its repair or replacement will not impair the functional properties of that item or of all items of furniture purchased by the Buyer, the rights under this warranty are limited solely to the defective part of the furniture.
- The rights under this warranty comprise the removal of the product defect by repair or replacement of the defective component. The warranty does not cover claims for compensation for indirect damage, including lost profits, unless mandatory provisions of law provide otherwise.
AYALA S.A. is obliged to process a complaint within 14 days of the date on which it was submitted in writing. The complaint will be dealt with in the manner and within the time limit agreed by both parties.
CONDITIONS OF USE OF THE FURNITURE
Look after your furniture and it will serve you for a long time – follow our advice, in particular:
- Check the condition of the furniture on delivery;
- Use the furniture for its intended purpose;
- To increase the durability and service life of the hydraulic pump in styling and barber chairs, remember to pull up the lever after setting the appropriate height/position of the chair – it acts as a brake and stops the pump.
In every hydraulic pump, pressure increases during pumping/raising and, once it reaches its maximum value, must drop slightly. Applying the brake is necessary because it stops the pump from sinking.
Remember that every hydraulic pump has 3 operating modes:
- First – raising the seat by pressing the pump lever (do not press the pump lever all the way down – this lowers the seat);
- Second – lowering the seat by pressing and holding the pump lever all the way down;
- Third – engaging the brake/lock by lifting the pump lever upwards; the seat is then locked. To release the brake, press the pump lever.
- Adjustable backrests on barber chairs – to lower the backrest, release the gas lift lock using the lever. Remember not to use excessive force, as this may break the mechanism and damage the backrest gas lift.
- Adjustable headrest on barber chairs – to raise or lower the headrest, release the mechanism lock using the button. Remember not to use excessive force, as this may cause the button to jam inside the backrest and damage the headrest mechanism.
- Footrests on styling and barber chairs and movable legrests on backwashes are designed to support the legs during treatment – never stand, jump, sit or kneel on them.
- Avoid prolonged contact of wooden, laminated, lacquered and metal parts with moisture.
- Wiping dry with a soft cloth or tissue paper prevents swelling, deformation and damage to the surface coating. Do not use rough materials, which may damage the protective coating and lead to irreversible changes.
- Make sure the room is well ventilated. An excessive build-up of steam may cause boards, fronts and worktops to swell, or protective coatings to crack and discolour.
- Avoid contact between furniture parts and sharp objects, which may damage the protective surface. Damaged parts are more susceptible to external factors.
- Never place hot appliances (straighteners, hairdryers) on board or upholstered furniture surfaces or on plastic parts.
- Do not allow permanent soiling to build up, as it may cause discolouration.
- Clean and maintain only with mild products, in accordance with their intended use.
Any soiling, in particular from grease, lubricants, hairdressing chemicals, fruit drinks, coffee, tea and other substances that are difficult to remove, may cause discolouration of the surface – it should be cleaned off immediately.
CARE OF INDIVIDUAL MATERIALS
Upholstery materials
Clean using a soft cloth and warm water with a mild cleaning agent. Stubborn stains should be cleaned with suitable products that contain no abrasive additives, which could damage the structure of the material and lead to destruction of the coating and discolouration of the material.
Chrome-plated parts
Wipe with a soft cloth moistened with lukewarm water, then wipe dry. Avoid abrasive products and materials, which may scratch and dull the chrome coating.
Gold chrome-plated parts
Wipe with a soft cloth moistened with lukewarm water, then wipe dry. Do not use chemical cleaning products, e.g. limescale and deposit removers, or abrasive products and materials, which may scratch and wear away the chrome coating.
Aluminium parts
These may become dull over time, so we recommend occasionally using a gentle polishing paste and rubbing the parts vigorously with a soft cloth (in accordance with the paste manufacturer's instructions).
Laminate furniture parts
Clean with a soft cloth moistened with water, if necessary with a little washing-up liquid. After removing the dirt, wipe the furniture several times with a flannel cloth and dry it thoroughly.
Lacquered parts, fronts and high-gloss parts
Use soft cotton, silk or microfibre cloths so as not to scratch the surface. Most common dirt (e.g. fingerprints, greasy dirt, dust) can be removed successfully with a damp cloth. For heavy soiling, glass cleaner may also be used, after which the surface should be wiped with a clean cloth soaked in lukewarm water. The use of products (liquids, powders, creams) with abrasive properties or of concentrated cleaning agents is not permitted.
Wood
Clean using products intended for wood care (such as Pronto). Natural wood moves, i.e. it reacts to fluctuations in temperature and air humidity. Changes in these parameters cause the wood to shrink or expand, which may affect the visibility of joints in wooden frames. Natural wood is characterised by a unique grain – these differences result from the non-uniform structure of wood. All these factors have a significant influence on the colour of the material.
Veneer
Do not use strong cleaning agents that could damage the natural stone. For everyday care, we recommend using a wet cotton cloth without any detergents. Dirt that could not be removed in this way can be cleaned with products specially designed for this purpose. Always wipe the cleaned surface dry.
MAXIMUM LOADS
Do not overload drawers, shelves or styling chairs. Maximum loads according to the manufacturers' recommendations:
- Drawer on telescopic/roller runners – 10 kg;
- Drawer on Modern Box runners – up to 40 kg (depending on the system used);
- Load on wall-mounted cabinets – approx. 15 kg (depending on the type of wall they are mounted on);
- Gas lift load – approx. 100 kg;
- Hydraulic pump load – approx. 120–130 kg.
